The BETA LW, a lightweight hardshell, windproof, waterproof, and hooded outdoor jacket, is Arc’teryx’s latest flagship product. It’s always been a standout performer in the harsh conditions of the mountains, now even more powerful and lighter. Made of Goretex fabric, the LT and Lightweight feel almost identical. The new model uses a CKnit lining, giving it a softer, silkier feel than the LT and also a lighter weight. The design and fit are virtually identical, with the biggest difference being the chest logo. The Lightweight now features a single bird. The English logo has been moved to the brim, making it instantly recognizable from the side as an Arc’teryx jacket. The new Lightweight hood features a Recco reflector. While I wouldn’t use it, it clearly demonstrates its suitability for backcountry skiing. The zippers have been slightly redesigned, becoming longer and allowing for more ventilation under the arms. Lightweight, high-performance, lightweight yet durable, windproof, waterproof, and breathable, suitable for a variety of activities and environments! The bird logo on the chest is four-times taped, and the entire garment features a 3D bionic design with long arms and Tri-Durance waterproof and rainproof fabric.
